The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is an organisation of 195 governments. In August 2021 the IPCC released their 6th assessment report on the climate. It is called the AR6 Sixth Assessment Report and is the most up-to-date physical understanding of our climate system and climate change. IPCC reports play a key role in international climate negotiations as they guarantee transparency and objectivity.

234 leading scientists from around the world reviewed over 14,000 climate change research papers to contribute to this particular report.

Studying climate change is crucial as it helps us understand the long-term patterns of weather conditions, which may affect our health, livelihoods, and future.

The following 5 resources have been designed to distil complicated climate change research into secondary education level geography. Figures extracted from the IPCC 6th assessment report have water marks. Each graphic is the accepted version but may still be subject to final editing.
