The Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), as part of its Geography Ambassador Programme and #ChooseGeography campaign, are creating a free, online series of careers teaching resource modules for geography teachers.
The modules each focus on a different employment sector and contain information and key messaging for teachers to pass to students around employability and career pathways, as well as ideas for careers-based activities and 'real world' employment case studies to embed within schemes of work to show how geographical skills and themes are used in everyday life by people in the workplace.
We hope that these resources will assist teachers with their #ChooseGeography message, encouraging students and parents to see the benefits of studying geography and highlight the world of opportunities available to geographers.
To access the modules you will be asked to sign into a Google account. If you don't have one already, you can create a Google account for free. If your school already uses Google classroom you may need to use a different email address/account to access the classroom below – joining classrooms outside your organisation is often blocked.
