Tim is Director of Traveler Programs at Reach the World, a New York City-based global education non-profit that has been a pioneer in the use of virtual exchange programs for more than 20 years.
Tim collaborates with expeditions of all sizes to develop customized Education & Outreach virtual exchange programs that shine a spotlight on exciting fieldwork and careers in STEM for students ages 5-18. Through curricularly-aligned articles and livestream events, explorers and field scientists take students on expedition with them, inspiring the next generation of global citizens and promoting the explorer’s mindset.
As onboard Education & Outreach Coordinator for the Endurance22 Expedition earlier this year, Tim helped 33,000+ young students in 27 countries join the search for Sir Ernest Shackleton’s lost ship, Endurance, in the Weddell Sea off Antarctica.
