Marlon is passionate about using exploration, innovation, and collaboration to display the value of biodiversity and provide further purpose as to why we need to conserve it. As a Field Research Scientist at Basecamp Research, he works on everything from planning and executing technical international expeditions, to building large-scale collaborations and developing molecular biology capabilities increasing bio-literacy and capacity with in-country partners.
An enthusiastic environmentalist with over 2.5 years spent on the Antarctic continent working as a Marine Biologist, commercial scientific diver, scientific vessel Coxswain, and resident of Rothera Research station.
