Dusan Materic is the Head of the Microplastics, Nanoplastics and Elements Research Group at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research in Leipzig. He is a bio-analytical scientist with a PhD. He has a postdoc from the university of Utrecht and has worked with private sector companies, and he become interested in MS analytical methods. He obtained skills in method development and QQ/QA, untargeted and targeted analysis. His interests extend to coding and interpreting challenging data. He is also involved in many research projects and manages some of his own.
