The Dialogues in Radical Geography seminar series is conceived as a space for renewed conversation about what radical geography means in the context of the neoliberal academy, and through which to build a community of scholars interested in radical praxis. In particular, we are keen to explore how different geographers enact radical politics in their research, teaching, supervision and wider engagements, as well as interrogate what role geography as a discipline should be playing in the contemporary period of multiple, intersecting crises in the socioeconomic order.

In the fifth edition, we feature two interventions from Professor Danny Dorling and Dr Anna Plyushteva, joining us in person at the Royal Geographical Society in Kensington Gore. They discuss personal experiences of public geography, charting some of the possibilities and pitfalls of academic engagement with wider publics.

This is a hybrid event. Join us live at the Royal Geographical Society in London or the seminar will also be shown synchronously online.
